  35. Might as well - but the HDToolBox "verify data on drive" option might also work.
  36. Before formatting OR verifying back it up of course. He will have to replace it
  37. soon enough. But he might get a few more months service out of it. (When a drive
  38. starts sprouting low level errors like this it is usually very close to being
  39. an exotic paperweight containing a collection of metal Frisbees.)

  50.           Who shuns low level formatting drives as much as possible. I just let
  51.           the verify function reassign the bad blocks to good ones while they
  52.           last. When they are gone the drive cannot format anyway, most of the
  53.           time.
